The line that got away – a scribble 'n doodle theatrical exhibition
For many years, Mercer has been known as an industrial photographer, video creator, and nature and landscape photographer. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions across Israel and can be found in homes, offices, and public spaces

Alongside his professional work, he has developed a personal and distinctive body of art, documenting the people, communities, and landscapes that make up the human mosaic of the Galilee

Following his successful solo exhibition Street Sofas, presented at Akko Theatre in 2022, Mercer returns with a new and especially revealing exhibition

This is an invitation to enter a creative space moving between control and release, between the conscious and the subconscious. Through hundreds of scribbles, figures, creatures, and images created over more than two decades from a blank page and the intuitive movement of the brush, visitors are invited into a rich, curious, and sometimes surprising inner world

Alongside the visual works, the exhibition also includes short texts and poems that continue the same free creative process: one that begins without a plan and reveals itself along the way

This is not only an exhibition of drawings. It is a journey into the creative process itself, into the places where imagination comes before logic, and a drawn line reveals a story that was waiting to appear
